Siren Craft Brew – Broken Dream Breakfast Stout 6.5%
Berkshire and describes its beer as “Beer for coffee lovers”.
This is the Best Bitter ale from Cheddar Ales brewed in Cheddar, Somerset. It is an Amber coloured ale with a malty aroma. The ale has a hop bitter taste with strong grapefruit notes. Challenger bittering hops, related to Northdown and Northern Brewer, add the citrus grapefruit taste. Compare to their ever popular Potholer Bitter.
The Brewery notes say the concept was to create a juicy tropical beer. A brew you can sip on and drink all day, rammed with juicy malts and huge tropical aromas of mango and grapefruit. Massive additions of whole leaf American hops are added in ever increasing numbers at the end of the boil giving huge hop flavour. The beer is then dry hopped for days, driving the punchy aromas so you can smell it from miles away!
Morland was originally brewed in Oxfordshire before being taken over by Green King. The beers are brewed under the Morland name by Greene King in Bury St Edmunds.
