Cerne Abbas Brewery – Tiger Tom Ruby Mild 4.4%
This is a dark chestnut coloured ale with a malty, slightly smokey aroma. It has an initial smokey taste, moving to a malt sweetness and hop bitter finish.
This ale has a good malt body not expected in a mild ale, resulting in a slightly higher ABV.
This ale was sampled on draught at West Country Water Buffalo’s Buff-Food-Fest. It is named after the ‘legendary’ blacksmith of Cerne Abbas, apparently. Brewed with organic barley malt from the Cerne Valley.
Well worth looking out for Cerne Abbas Brewery beers if your in Dorset, in the vicinity of the famous (or infamous) Cerne Abbas Giant!
